Dothan Preparatory Academy Girls Basketball Tryouts 2026
Where: Davis Gym (Large gym on South end of campus)
When: April 21, 2026
Time: 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

What to wear: Athletic shorts, tennis shoes, designated short color. Bring a water bottle tagged with your name.
Rising 7th graders: Plain white t-shirt
Rising 8th graders: Plain black t-shirt
Girls must have a current physical signed by a doctor to participate in tryouts. No exceptions!

Rising 8th grade: Turn in physicals to Coach Reynolds in room A117 by April 17th or submit within the form below.

Rising 7th grade: Bring a copy completely filled out and signed by you, your patents, and your doctor to tryouts. Turn in the form at the registration table on April 21st or submit within the form below.
Tryouts are closed. Please have a ride waiting outside the Davis gym by 6:00 p.m.
Please complete the 2026 DPA Basketball Tryout Form ASAP.

DHS Cross Country Interest Meeting
When: April 6 at 4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. in the DHS Media Center.
Returning and new athletes are required to attend.
Tryouts:
April 16, 2026, 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the DHS Track
Must have a current physical to tryout. Wear running shoes. No open toed shoes of any kind. If you are not properly dressed you will not tryout.

For athletes who did not play football for DHS or Carver 9 last year.
Carver 9th Grade Academy Tryouts
- Monday, April 20, 3:20 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the Carver 9th Grade Academy Gymnasium
- Open to 9th Grade Students
Dothan High School Tryouts
- Wednesday, April 22, 3:20 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Turf Field at DHS
- Open to students in Grades 10 and 11
2026-2027 Girls Wrestling Team Tryout Information
DHS Girls Wrestling Interest Meeting
When: April 8, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Where: Dothan High School Media Center
Returning and new girls are required to attend.

May 12, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Dothan High School Gym
Must have a current physical to tryout. Wear running shoes with sweatpants or leggings and t-shirt. No open toes shoes of any kind. If you are not properly dressed you will not tryout.

Rising Freshmen 3:45 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. (DPA)
April 14
Rising Sophomore 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Carver 9)
April 15
Rising 8th Grade 3:45 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. (DPA)
Must have a current, valide physical to participate.

Who can participate: Current 8th through 11th Graders
When: April 20th 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Must have a current physical to tryout.
Please wear tennis shoes, no open toed shoes of any kind. If you are not properly dressed you will not tryout.
